Sligo Kinesiology

My name is Patricia Kearns

I have been interested in natural health care for many years and have undergone a wide variety of treatments for back and shoulder problems as well as digestive issues.  After over twenty years of dealing with chronic lower back pain which did improve temporarily but never fully went away  I came to realise that I needed to find a way to fix myself and reduce my dependence on other people to get me out of pain.  I managed this through online education and research and finding the right exercises to address the root cause of my back problem rather than just treating the symptoms.

After discovering a solution to support my own health I realised that I wanted to study and gain a recognised qualification in the area of holistic health but I couldn’t find any training course that fully resonated with me and was available in Ireland on a part-time basis.   One evening whilst watching a youtube video relating to another therapy I first came across the practical application of kinesiology and saw a therapist demonstrating muscle testing and the effect various foods had on the body.  I was intrigued and wanted to learn more.  I searched for Kinesiology training in Ireland and came across Siobhan Guthrie and Kinesiology Training Zone.  I instantly knew this was the course for me as it dealt with everything from back pain to food allergies to stress relief and more…..Just a few weeks later in October 2016 I found myself sitting in a classroom in Drumshanbo Co Leitrim on the first day of our Balanced Health Course.  This course which was run by a wonderful instructor called Caroline from Kinesihealth  was a real eye opener and turning point for me.   It was here that I learned the kinesiology techniques which fixed my longstanding shoulder problem and where I finally got a solution for my uncomfortable digestive issues.  I was so impressed with this experience that I decided to continue my studies towards the Diploma in Advanced Systematic Kinesiology.  This is simply an amazing journey and I have learned many more powerful techniques to support optimum health on every level.

I am now seeing clients in my own practice and to date I have helped people with backache, shoulder pain, knee pain, leg pain, hip pain, phobias, digestive issues and stress issues.  I am constantly amazed at how these simple kinesiology methods  work so quickly to bring effective relief.  Just one session can make a big difference for some people although an initial course of three treatments is highly recommended.  The aspect of Systematic Kinesiology that appeals to me most is that we don’t just “fix” people we empower them to look after their own health by giving them specific techniques and information for continuing aftercare at home.

A full session normally lasts about 1 ½  hours and cost is €20.
